Our Commitment to Quality Starts Before the Bottle Reaches You
At Rihâme, every fragrance goes through a careful maceration process before it ever reaches your hands. Maceration is the resting period after a perfume is blended — a time during which the aromatic ingredients fully integrate, the raw materials harmonize, and the scent reaches its truest, most refined expression.
We take this process seriously. Our perfumes are preserved under controlled conditions — away from light, heat, and humidity — so that when you open your bottle for the first time, you experience the fragrance exactly as it was intended: rich, balanced, and full of depth.
Now It's Your Turn — How to Store Your Perfume at Home
Once your Rihâme perfume is with you, a little care goes a long way in preserving its quality. Here's how to keep it at its best:
1. Keep It Away from Light
Light — especially direct sunlight and UV rays — breaks down the aromatic compounds in your perfume, causing it to oxidize and lose its character. Store your bottle in a dark place: a drawer, a cabinet, or its original box. Avoid windowsills and open vanity tops, no matter how beautiful the bottle looks on display.
2. Store It in a Cool Environment
Heat accelerates the degradation of fragrance molecules. The ideal storage temperature is between 10°C and 18°C (50°F–65°F) — cool, stable, and away from heat sources. A bedroom closet or a cool shelf is perfect. Avoid bathrooms, where temperature and humidity fluctuate with every shower.
3. Seal It Tightly
Air exposure causes oxidation over time. Always close your bottle firmly after each use to protect the integrity of the scent inside.
The Simple Rule
Dark. Cool. Sealed. Follow these three principles and your Rihâme fragrance will continue to evolve beautifully — just as it was meant to.
